Cedar with galvanized steel posts, powder-coated aluminum, and vinyl all perform well in wind and salt air. Which one is right depends on your exposure, your HOA, and your budget — we'll walk your property and recommend the best fit before you commit to anything.
How do you build for coastal wind and soil movement?
Galvanized posts set in concrete footings, pro-grade fasteners, and hardware sized for coastal wind loads. On bayfront and low-lying lots we size footings for the soil we actually find, which on the Bay ranges from sandy to heavy clay within a few blocks.

Do you handle HOA approvals and permits?
Usually, yes. We confirm setbacks, heights, appearance and HOA style guidelines, then help prepare the simple drawings that get approvals moving quickly.

Standard Fence were absolute professionals. We hired them to completely redo two sides of our backyard due to storm/wind damage, which entailed removal of old broken posts. They answered all questions we had, were timely, kind, and left the work site clean each day.
